James Prego, ND
Dr. Prego is a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine.
He received his degree from Bastyr University, in Kenmore Washington.
Bastyr University a fully accredited 4-year Naturopathic medical school
and a leading institute in research of natural therapies.
As an ND, Dr. Prego is trained as an expert in natural medicine
and NDs are the only primary care physicians
clinically trained in the use of a wide variety of natural therapeutics.
Patients consult with Dr. Prego for preventive medicine
as well as for assistance with almost all acute and chronic conditions.
Dr. Prego helps to find the underlying cause of the patient's condition
and promote wellness in body, mind, and spirit
rather than focus solely on symptomatic treatment.
Currently, Dr. Prego is seeing patients at Long Island Naturopathic in Islip NY.
He also volunteers at the free holistic clinic in Bay Shore.
Dr. Prego is a member of the AANP and NYANP,
the national and state ND professional associations, respectively.
He also serves as a board member for the NYANP.
Dr. Prego has gives talks, is a guest on radio shows,
and writes articles on aspects of health such as digestive health, detoxification,
children’s health, eating healthy, and many other topics.
